Welcome to my little neck of the woods!

Now......
Tickled pink that you are here for a visit,
wish I could offer you a cup of tea,
but they haven't figured out how to do that on the Internet yet...
Instead, why don't I do all the talking, and when I visit you,
you can talk to your hearts content...
I've been an artist for most of my life,
and as you all know,
you have to constantly be recreating yourselves to fit the times.
So I do a little bit of everything.
Come and join me in my studio....
My main desk is an unfinished white door resting on two white cabinets
Works Great
I have great views out my windows
with rabbit, deer and an occasional bear
passing by
I'm working on some vintage movie posters
that I'm turning into little baubles
This is a small desk I do my enlarging
on with the hovering Artograph on the left
Just have to have a TV for those late nights working
I'm always foraging for old bottles to reinvent,
I helped dig up some of these at an old ranch near
Virginia City, Nevada, and made them pretty again
New Product ready to film and post
Finished and Framed watercolor
Hope you enjoyed a little glimpse
into my insanity....
Please come by and visit again
I'm on my way to your home now...
Love your spaceand so envious of your view... Sigh... Wish I had a view like that ( although I wouldn't get anything done....)

Ciao Amico, Thank you for liking my name. The name comes from a waltz that was written in the 1920's.....Believe me my studio is a disaster most of the time...I cleaned up because of people coming over for a party.....You know how that is...

Loved seeing your creative space. If I looked out my studio window and saw a bear I would run and hide under the bed!!

ReplyDeleteThanks Karen for all your kind support and wisdom.
DeleteIs it Margarita time now?
Charmaine
I love the watercolor and your jewelry creations and the beautiful place you get to create them in!
ReplyDeleteThanks Geralyn, We artists all need a place to hideout and hone our passions.
DeleteCharmaine
What a great place to create - Thanks for sharing it with us. How nice to have a view of wildlife outside your window while creating. I saw your wine cork necklaces - so pretty. I had a couple of necklaces using the corks in progress but they were in with some things taken when my home was broken into almost a year ago. May or may not try again - corks I have now are from a cheaper wine. :-D
ReplyDeleteHope you are enjoying your weekend.
Good morning. You have many talents and such an awesome room. I want to come to your house and craft. Thanks for sharing. Susan
ReplyDeleteLove the window for the natural light, but that is also a great view, Charmaine! I'm sure it can be very relaxing and inspirational. It looks like you've got everything close at hand. Love that you used an old door for your desktop. Thanks so much for the tour!
ReplyDeleteGlad to find another woodswoman at this party. Love your space and your creations. We had a bear eat all our apples two years ago. Always and adventure.

Hi Charmaine-
ReplyDeleteI agree with Karen - I would never get any work done with that beautiful view.
Your studio is awesome! Love the bottles you are re-inventing. Thanks for stopping by earlier - I'm a new follower too......
Charmaine, I love your studio and the things you create. Thanks for your kind words on my WBC party post. We live in mountain areas that look extremely similar, but, of course, I'm farther south than Lake Tahoe. I usually bring my antique wooden Chris-Craft boat up there for the boat show, though. Here's hoping we both make it through fire season with NO forest fires!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Victoria from Brushstrokes
Bonjour Charmaine,

Just wanted to let you know that Logandale, NV is 50 miles northeast of Las Vegas and 30 miles from Mesquite. It is actually in Moapa Valley next to Overton. It is a great place to live and raise children. We had all our 8 children graduate from Moapa Valley high school. It is quite hot in the summer though, so I spend lots of hours creating in my studio. I sure love all your creations, and when you said you live in Zephyr Cove, NV my daughter and I could not begin to come up with where that was, until I read your profile.
ReplyDeleteHi Charmaine,
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful creative space you have to enjoy and design. You must be so inspired everyday with the beautiful view and all the treasures you have to surround you. Just a glorious studio to create in.
Thank you for stopping by and your kind comment. Welcome to blogland. Looks like you are off to a terrific start and going to have so much fun. I am now a new follower too.
